Bob Frid-USA TODAY Sports - Top Three All-Time American Canucks Players

The Fourth of July is the day America celebrates its independence, and the Vancouver Canucks have had some top American NHL players.

In no particular order, here are the top three Americans to ever put on the Canucks sweater.

    1. Ryan Kesler

A member for ten years and 655 games for the Canucks, Kesler poured his passion onto the ice in Vancouver. The fan favorite had 182 goals and 211 assists, along with his 594 PIMs.

Kesler became an alternate captain during his time with Vancouver and did more than enough to earn the respect of his teammates and opponents across the rest of the NHL.

Kesler can be seen as the greatest American to play for the Canucks.

    2. Quinn Hughes

He may still be early in his career, but the 2024 Norris Trophy winner has already cemented himself as the greatest American defenseman to play for the Canucks.

Fresh off his 92-point season, Hughes ranks among the top defensemen in the entire league. Hughes was already named to Team USA for the 2025 Four Nations Face-Off.

Hughes will be hard-pressed to beat his 23-24 season, but if anyone can, it is Hughes.

    3. J.T. Miller

Miller can be swapped with a few other players, but his performance over the last two seasons has been electric.

Last season, Miller had a career-best 103 points. It is the first time he has surpassed the century mark. Since joining the Canucks in 2019, the forward has launched his career into an offensive powerhouse.

While there aren't many Canucks that can match Kesler and Hughes, Miller is on his way to joining their legendary status.
