The 2026 Winter Olympics should feature plenty of Vancouver Canucks content. A current player from the team will feature in each of the three groups, with the Canucks potentially sending one of the larger delegations to the Games. Here is a look at which groups the players who are projected to represent their country will play in.

Group A: Canada (Rick Tocchet), Sweden (Elias Pettersson, Patrik Allvin), Switzerland (Pius Suter), Italy

Group A could see two players and two staff members featured on three teams. Starting with Canada, head coach Rick Tocchet will be in consideration as he was recently named to the Canadians 4 Nations Face-Off roster as an assistant coach. Next, Sweden will most likely have two representatives. Elias Pettersson should be a key piece of the offence, while GM Patrik Allvin could be tasked with assembling the team as he is the only Swedish general manager in the league. Rounding out the group is Pius Suter, who will be making his second appearance with Switzerland after representing his country at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.

Group B: Finland, Germany, Czechia (Filip Hronek), Denmark

Filip Hronek and Czechia will have their hands full in a stacked Group B. Hronek, who has represented Czechia at multiple World Championships, is set to play a prominent role for his nation as they look for their first Gold since 1998. With talented players like David Pastrňák, Martin Nečas and Tomas Hertl all projected to participate, Czechia's chances of coming home with a medal are very high.

Group C: Russia*, USA (Quinn Hughes, J.T. Miller, Thatcher Demko), Slovakia, Latvia (Artūrs Šilovs, Teddy Blueger)
Note: If Russia's ban is not lifted, France will take their place

Lastly, Group C is where the majority of Canucks players can be found. Kicking things off with Team USA, they are projected to have at least three players, with Quinn Hughes, J.T. Miller, and Thatcher Demko all representing the "Stars and Stripes." As for Latvia, despite not playing in the qualification round, both Artūrs Šilovs and Teddy Blueger should be on the team in 2026. These two teams could get a massive boost if Russia is banned from the tournament, but they will have to wait until February 2025 to find out who their fourth group member is.
