The Vegas Golden Knights are nearing a deal with former Philadelphia Flyers goalie Carter Hart, per Cam Robinson. It's expected to be a two year deal, with an annual average value of around $1.8 million.

Hart, who last played in the 2023 season, was expected to field plenty of interest from teams after being declared eligible to sign yesterday. In his last season, he posted a 12-9 record and  .906 save percentage.

Despite being suspended until Dec. 1, he'll have the opportunity to ramp up for the next month a half and likely be ready for game action when first eligible to return. Assuming they agree to terms, he'll likely take opportunities from Akira Schmidt and will split starts with Adin Hill.

Do you think Vegas is the best landing spot for Hart?
