Adin Hill made 37 saves to help lift the Vegas Golden Knights to a 3-2 shootout victory against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday at T-Mobile Arena.
Paul Cotter and William Carrier scored, while Jonathan Marchessault and Shea Theodore scored in the shootout to secure the victory.
The win improves the Golden Knights to 9-0-1, becoming the 20th NHL team to start with at least a point in its first 10 games of a season.
“We got 19 out of 20 points. So to me, that’s pretty good. We’re not going to push that aside or overlook it,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “We haven’t always looked our best, and I’ll be the first to say that. Tonight included. But it’s not easy to win.”
