Martinez scores twice and Hill post second shutout in three games as Vegas Golden Knights pick up win.
Alec Martinez scored twice and Adin Hill stopped 20 shots to help the Vegas Golden Knights to a 5-0 victory against the San Jose Sharks on Friday at T-Mobile Arena.
Alex Pietrangelo had a goal and two assists. William Karlsson and Brett Howden also scored and Michael Amadio posted two assists.
“Any game you win 5-0 and give up 20 shots, it’s a good game by your team,” Hill said. “It’s a big win. All two points count the same.”
The Golden Knights improved to 12-2-1 on the season and will embark on a five-game road trip, which will include a visit to the White House on Monday.
“It will be nice to be on the road to get some quality time with the boys,” Amadio said. “We’re all looking forward to it.”
