The Vegas Golden Knights are looking for their fourth straight win tonight with the New York Islanders coming into town.

The Vegas Golden Knights are looking for their fourth straight win tonight with the New York Islanders coming into town.

The Islanders and Golden Knights enter tonight's game on opposite sides of the standings. The Islanders have ambitions of making the playoffs but currently sit in last place in the Metropolitan Division. The Golden Knights sit in first place in the Pacific Division and carry a six-point lead over the Edmonton Oilers.

The Golden Knights have been receiving the recognition as the best team in the NHL as of late and it is more than well deserved. They have been clicking offensively and have found comfortability in their defensive game.

Jack Eichel and Mark Stone have been incredibly consistent which has masked some of the struggles of other key offensive players but despite that, the Golden Knights have missed a beat.

William Karlsson has continued his excellent defensive play but his offence has dried up. In his last seven games, Karlsson has no goals and three assists. Tomas Hertl has also found things difficult at 5-on-5 despite his great power play production. If the two veteran centres can regain their offensive stride the Golden Knights will be increasingly dangerous.

The Islanders have the worst special teams in the NHL on both the power play and the penalty kill and is something the Golden Knights should be able to exploit. If they do, picking up the two points should be in the cards.

    Golden Knights projected lines:

    Pearson-Eichel-Stone
    Hertl-Karlsson-Kolesar
    Olofsson-Howden-Dorofeyev
    Rondbjerg-Schwindt-Holtz

    McNabb-Theodore
    Hanifin-Pietrangelo
    Hague-Whitecloud

    Hill
    Samsonov

    Islanders projected lines:

    Lee-Nelson-Barzal
    Duclair-Horvat-Palmieri
    Tsyplakov-Pageau-Cizikas
    Martin-MacLean-Engvall

    Romanov-Dobson
    Peelech-Pulock
    Cholowksi-Mayfield

    Sorokin
    Hogberg

Puck drop is at 7:00 P.M. PST at T-Mobile Arena.
