Golden Knights travel to San Jose for the first of a back-to-back series of preseason games.

The Vegas Golden Knights kick off their 2023-24 preseason with a game against the San Jose Sharks at 5 p.m. at SAP Center in San Jose.

The game will be broadcast free on KnightTime+.

There will be a post-game recap posted on the site following the game.

What to look for in this game...

There will a few big club players playing in this game, but most of the team will be made up of junior and AHL-level players.

Jiri Patera is expected to play in net for the Golden Knights. He is likely to be the No. 3 goalie for Vegas and will likely start the season in Henderson.

The major thing to look for in this preseason game will be the play of Pavel Dorofeyev, Paul Cotter and Maxime Comtois. All three are in contention for playing on William Karlsson's left wing, and each will have the opportunity to prove that they are the one the team should go with.

Brendan Brisson is also in consideration, but should be seen as a longshot for that left wing spot.

Looking ahead

The Golden Knights will have the rest of their training camp roster play in the second end of their back-to-back preseason series against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday in Denver.
