Goalie returns for first start since Dec. 17, will look to finish first game since Nov. 27

Adin Hill will return for the Vegas Golden Knights when they take the ice against the Colorado Avalanche tonight in Denver.

Hill has missed 15 games with a lower-body injury. He was having a stellar season prior with a 10-2-2 record and 1.93 goals-against average. He also had a .933 save percentage in the 15 games he’s played in.

“It's going to be Adin tonight,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “If he comes to the rink ready to go tonight, he's in."

Logan Thompson did not travel with the team due to illness, making Jiri Patera the backup.

"The plan was Logan was to play tonight, originally," Cassidy said. "We were going to leave Adin behind and give him a couple extra days. Not have travel or deal with that part of it or the altitude. That was a luxury we thought we were going to have because we were going to split them.

"Logan, we'll see when we get back to Vegas if he's ready to go. Hopefully it's not that serious, if he's not ready to go. If not, it's Patera."

LAST TIME OUT: Vegas dominated Colorado with a 7-0 victory on Nov. 4. Mark Stone had a four-point night with two shorthanded goals, while Hill made 41 saves to earn his first shutout of the season.
