Keegan Kolesar scored the go-ahead goal with 1:40 remaining to give the Vegas Golden Knights a 3-1 victory against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday at T-Mobile Arena.

Kolesar's heroics broke a 1-1 tie, and Chandler Stephenson added an empty-net goal to secure the victory.

Jack Eichel also scored, while Brayden McNabb had two assists. Logan Thompson made 20 saves for Vegas, which improved to 37-25-7 and improved to four points clear of the St. Louis Blues.

“We've played big time hockey games as a group before,” Eichel said. “We understand the circumstances that we've put ourselves in now. Every game means something, so important to get two points. Game like tonight, you know, I thought we dominated there for 40 minutes. They get a power play goal there, and I thought we stuck with it. We had some chances after they scored. Obviously, a huge goal there at the end of the game with a minute and a half left.”

Eichel scored his goal at 8:14 of the first period. The game would go scoreless until Jaden Schwartz scored to tie the game at one.

It set up Kolesar's goal, which was reviewed for offsides, but was deemed a good goal.

Stephenson scored the empty-net goal with 11 seconds remaining the game.

“Obviously that time of year trying to collect as many points as we can. We’re not happy with the spot we're in so just trying to collect as many wins here,” Stephenson said. “It's kind of been building. (The game against) Tampa was a good one. The last three games have been pretty good. Obviously to get rewarded for that tonight, I think it's a confidence builder for the team.”
