The Vegas Golden Knights open their title defense with a game against the Seattle Kraken at 7:30 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena.
The Kraken historically have struggled against the Golden Knights and are 1-7 against Vegas.
The Golden Knights are missing two key defensemen in Alec Martinez and Zach Whitecloud. Both are week-to-week with upper-body injuries.
There will be plenty of pre-game festivities as the Golden Knights will be raising their 2022-23 Stanley Cup banner prior to the game.
