Vegas Golden Knights suffer dubious honor of being first team shut out in a Winter Classic.

The Vegas Golden Knights were shut out for the fourth time this season in a 3-0 loss to the Seattle Kraken at T-Mobile Park on Monday in the Winter Classic.

The Kraken scored in each period to secure the first-ever shutout in the Winter Classic.

Logan Thompson made 24 saves for Vegas (22-11-5).

Eeli Tolvanen, Will Borgen and Yanni Gourde all scored for Seattle (15-14-9), which extended its point streak to a franchise-best nine games. Joey Daccord made 35 stops to earn his second career shutout.

Tolvanen open the scoring at 4:50 of the first period, tipping in a Vince Dunn shot from the high slot.

Borgen scored the Kraken’s second goal at 2:19 of the second period with slap shot from above the right circle.

Gourde wrapped up the scoring in the third period when he stole the puck off of Paul Cotter’s skate and made a great second effort play to slide the puck past Thompson at 2:10.

The Golden Knights return to the ice on Thursday for a game against the Florida Panthers, and will play seven of their next eight games at T-Mobile Arena.
