Former Henderson Silver Knights veteran forward Adam Cracknell will continue his career in Slovakia after leaving the Vegas Golden Knights' AHL affiliate.

The 2004, ninth-round pick signed a one-year deal with HK Poprad, in the Slovak Extraliga. Playing with the Silver Knights in the 2023-24 campaign, Cracknell scored 18 goals and 35 points in 59 games.

The 39-year-old played 210 games in the NHL scoring 21 goals and 43 points. He also played 750 AHL games notching 215 goals and 474 points. Throughout those seasons, Cracknell spent time in the ECHL, KHL and Denmark. His most recent stint with European hockey came in 2020 when he played with Esbjerg Energy in Denmark. His previous season was spent with Kunlun Red Star of the KHL.

His 212 NHL games were spent with seven teams across nine seasons. Those teams were the St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks, New York Rangers and the Anaheim Ducks.

The 6'3 "forward could never carve out a full-time role in the NHL, but as a ninth-round pick, he worked hard and was a great AHL player. At 39 years of age, Cracknell continues to love the game, and his new team is delighted to have him.

"I welcome Adam to the team," said Poprad sports director Július Koval. "He is an experienced player who has an extensive career behind him. He is a leader and I believe that he will pass on his experience to younger players and help them in their career growth."
