The NHL released the 2024 schedule with many former Vegas Golden Knights players set to return to the Sin City throughout the year.

The Golden Knights will begin their eighth season by hosting the Colorado Avalanche at T-Mobile Arena on Oct. 9. They'll then host the St. Louis Blues and the Anaheim Ducks before beginning a brief three-game road trip against the Washington Capitals.

With eight players from last year's roster either traded or signed elsewhere in free agency, the Golden Knights will need to prepare lots of tribute videos.

The first reunion will be on Oct. 25, when Michael Amadio and the Ottawa Senators are in town. Anthony Mantha (Calgary Flames) will visit on Oct.28, followed by William Carrier (Carolina Hurricanes) on Nov. 11. After requesting a trade, Logan Thompson will visit Vegas on Nov. 17, with the Washington Capitals. Chandler Stephenson will be the last player to visit in 2024 when the Seattle Kraken take on the Golden Knights on Dec. 21. Back-to-back games of Alec Martinez (Chicago Blackhawks) and Paul Cotter (New Jersey Devils) will commence on Feb. 27, and Mar. 2. Finally the long-awaited return of Jonathan Marchessault will be on the final game of the regular season on Apr. 12.

Marchessault will get to take on his former twice in Nashville on Jan. 14 and Mar. 29.

Other interesting matchups include the first time the Golden Knights will be playing in Utah. They'll make that trip on Nov. 15. The Golden Knights will also play the Stanley Cup-winning Florida Panthers on Oct. 19 in Florida, a rematch and a showdown between the two previous Stanley Cup winners.

The busiest month for the Golden Knights will come in January when they play 15 games. The longest road trip the team will endure is five when they travel to Eastern Canada before taking on the Philadelphia Flyers and Avalanche. The longest homestand is five games which starts at the end of February.

The 2024-25 regular season starts in just over four months.
