Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports - Golden Knights Bring Victor Olofsson To Vegas On One-Year Deal

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Victor Olofsson to a one-year, $1.075M contract, Anthony LaRocco of The Hockey News reports.

Olofsson has spent his entire NHL career with the Buffalo Sabres in six seasons he's accumulated 90 goals and 182 points in 314 games. The 28-year-old has a lethal shot and built good chemistry with Jack Eichel when he was playing with the Sabres.

In the 2022-23 season, Oloffson scored 28 goals but last year's campaign was a letdown. In 51 games he was only able to score seven goals and 15 points.

The former 2014 seventh-round pick will hope to find his form again with the Golden Knights and could help improve the Golden Knights' power play. In the 2019-20 season, he scored 11 goals on the power play, many of them coming off of one-timers.

The Golden Knights continue to approach this offseason with the idea of finding value in low-cost contracts.

Now more than ever the Golden Knights will not only need players like Eichel and Mark Stone to set up their games but hope for the best out of players like Alexander Holtz, Brendan Brisson and Olofsson.
