The Vegas Golden Knights ECHL affiliate, the Tahoe Knight Monsters has signed defenseman Brandon Tabakin.
The 24-year-old is a 5'10, left-handed defenseman who spent the 2023-24 season with Arizona State of the NCAA. In 36 games he scored two goals and 10 points. He signed with the New Foundland Growlers following his senior year where he played in six games registering one assist.
Before playing for Arizona State, Tabakin played the first three years of his college career at Yale University. Before joining Yale he won Clark Cup Championship with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL in 2019.
The Woodbury, New York native is now the seventh player signed to the Knight Monsters and the third defenseman. The other six players are Anthony Collins (F), Blake Christensen (F), Chris Dodero (F), Adam Robbins (F), Brennan Kapcheck (D) and Nate Kallen (D).
The Knight Monsters' inaugural season will begin on October 24 when they host the Jacksonville Icemen at Tahoe Blue Event Center.
