Charles LeClaire - USA TODAY Sports - Golden Knights Goalie Adin Hill Still Not 100 Percent

Vegas Golden Knights goalie Adin Hill was not feeling 100 percent when he left the ice on Wednesday prior to the game against the Colorado Avalanche.

“Adin had been cleared to play. He got on the ice and did not feel 100 percent. So it's a quick decision. ,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “The medical team examined him again. He's not ready to play, he's not playing. It's that simple."

Hill has sat out the last 17 games with a lower-body injury. Cassidy said he will not play Hill until Hill says he's absolutely sure that he can get through an entire game.

"The player has to feel 100 percent comfortable. He's not right now. So he won't play until he says to us ‘I feel better. I'm ready and I feel like get through the rigors of a game,’" Cassidy said. "The medical team does their part in terms of timelines and testing but the player still has to feel 100 percent. So that was that.”

Jiri Patera was scratched for Thursday's game due. The team called up Isaiah Saville to back up Logan Thompson. Patera is not expected to miss extended time.
