The Vegas Golden Knights were shut out by the Toronto Maple Leafs last night but have the opportunity to bounce back tonight in the second half of a back-to-back against the Ottawa Senators.

The Golden Knights struggled to create offence last night and when they did, it was turned away by Joseph Woll. The Golden Knights outshot the Maple Leafs 31-26 but far too often the shots the Golden Knights generated were from the outside and without any net-front presence. The expectation tonight is the Golden Knights work hard to get chances in front of Linus Ullmark and keep him uncomfortable. He's struggled early in the season, posting a .884 SV% and a 2.99 GAA.

He'll battle against Ilya Samsonov and the two are very familiar with one another. The pair of netminders shared offseason comments about each other.

The Golden Knights are just 3-4-2 on the road but are taking on a Senators team that has lost three consecutive games, including two at home.

The first matchup between the two teams was played on Oct. 25, which resulted in a 6-4 win for the Golden Knights. It was also the game where Nicolas Hague picked up the lower-body injury that has recently forced him to land on the injured reserve.

    Golden Knights projected lineup:

    Barbashev-Eichel-Dorofeyev
    Hertl-Roy-Kolesar
    Howden-Karlsson-Holtz
    Pearson-Schwindt-Burke

    Hanifin-Pietrangelo
    Theodore-Whitecloud
    McNabb-Korczak

    Samsonov
    Hill

    Senators projected lineup:

    Tkachuk-Norris-Greig
    Giroux-Stützle-Batherson
    Amadio-Pinto-Perron
    Cousins-Gaudette-MacEwen

    Sanderson-Zub
    Chabot-Jensen
    Kleven-Hamonic

    Ullmark
    Forsberg

Puck drop is at 4:00 P.M. PST at the Canadian Tire Centre.
