Just a day after tendering qualifying offers to Kaedan Korczak and Pavel Dorofeyev, the Vegas Golden Knights announced two-year extensions to both players.

Dorofeyev has agreed to a $1.835M AAV contract extension. The young Russian showed a lot of potential during the 2023-24 campaign and will hope for a healthier season to build off of last year's success.

His ability to shoot the puck and be physical on the forecheck will be a key factor for the Golden Knights.

Korczak has agreed to a $825,000 AAV contract and will hope to receive more minutes from the Golden Knights this year. The 23-year-old has long been waiting for an opportunity, and now that he is not waiver-exempt, the team will have to keep him up in the NHL.

Puckpedia reports that the Golden Knights have $4.27M in cap space after they place Robin Lehner on the LTIR and have 12 forwards, seven defensemen and two goalies signed to their active roster. The Golden Knights lost all six of their UFAs today and will need to replace a few of those players.

Signs are pointing toward the Golden Knights trading one of their defensemen, which could give Korczak the ability to play consistent minutes in the NHL.
