The Vegas Golden Knights have made their first signing after agreeing to a one-year, two-way contract with Zach Aston-Reese.
Aston-Reese will earn $775K with the Golden Knights and $475K with the Henderson Silver Knights.
The 29-year-old only played in three games last year with the Detroit Red Wings but featured in 77 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2022-23.
Aston-Reese will be a veteran contributor on the Silver Knights and a depth piece for the Golden Knights if they suffer any injuries. He can provide the Golden Knights with a hard-working forechecker and penalty killer.
He won't wow or impress anyone with his skill but he consistently makes the safe play and works hard.
