Vegas Golden Knights forward Victor Olofsson has officially been listed as week-to-week by HC Bruce Cassidy.

Olofsson has been out of the lineup for the past two games after suffering a lower-body injury against the Washington Capitals. Following the game against the Capitals, Cassidy said it wasn't looking good for Olofsson and that additional testing would need to be done.

The 29-year-old could end up on the injured-reserve once William Karlsson is eligible to play. Karlsson practiced today with a non-contact jersey but Cassidy stated that he won't play on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings, but wouldn't rule him out any further than that.

Olofsson was off to a hot start with the Golden Knights scoring twice against the Colorado Avalanche in the season opener and then again against the Capitals before suffering the injury.

The week-to-week status is very broad. He could be out just for two weeks or out for over a month as the team monitors his health. With the Golden Knights already at the 23-man roster limit and Karlsson preparing to return to the lineup, Olofsson will likely shift to the IR at some point in the near future. When placed on the IR, the player won't be able to return to the lineup seven days.
