Nicolas Roy has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks and Saturday's game at the Los Angeles Kings.
The forward sustained an undisclosed injury in the Golden Knights 3-2 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.
"He's gonna miss all time," Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. "We'll put him at day-to-day."
How Roy sustained the injury in the game is unclear. He played a couple more shifts before not returning for the final 7:09 of the third period.
“I saw him [after the game], and he was walking around,” Cassidy said. ”He was uncomfortable, but not to the but not nothing like earth shattering. But obviously the next day they did their tests ruled him out for the next couple of games anyway."
Brett Howden will fill in as the fourth-line center.
"'Howie's' a good forechecker. He does that extremely well," Cassidy said. "He'll fit right in that part of it. Good in the circle, like Nic Roy, we'll start with the puck at least half the time. Probably scores goals a lot like that line by going to the net."
