The NHL and Prime Video confirmed that their new series "FaceOff: Inside The NHL" will premiere on October 4th and will feature Vegas Golden Knights star Jack Eichel.

The NHL and Prime Video confirmed that their new series "FaceOff: Inside The NHL" will premiere on October 4th and will feature Vegas Golden Knights star Jack Eichel.

Season 1 will be six episodes long and will feature Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, William Nylander, Quinn Hughes, Matthew Tkachuk, Filip Forsberg, David Pastrnak, Jeremy Swayman, Gabriel Landeskog and Jacob Trouba (among others) alongside Eichel.

Eichel will feature prominently in episode two with Forsberg in an episode titled "As Tough As It Gets."

In the trailer, a clip is shown of Eichel out to dinner with Noah Hanifin. Eichel and Hanifin have been friends since before the NHL but fans won't be able to see if Eichel and Hanifin were out to dinner after the Golden Knights acquired him or if it was just a friendly dinner while they visiting each other during the season. 

Eichel underwent surgery during the season and it could be a topic that the series focuses on. The 27-year-old was open to the media about the struggles he faced while away from the team last year. 

Other sports such as Formula 1, the PGA, ATP, WTA, and the NFL have had success with these documentaries and a lot of anticipation has surrounded the NHL's iteration of it. Fans will see if it lives up to the hype on Oct. 4.
