Jakub Demek listed on initial roster; Martinez and Whitecloud on IR. Team will carry 14 forwards, six defensemen and two goalies.

The Vegas Golden Knights haven’t officially announced their roster, but it has turned one into the NHL.
The NHL Media Site has an updated roster that was turned into the NHL.
The notable forward missing was Max Comtois, who was on a tryout contract. He hasn’t been signed, but that’s not to say the Golden Knights have closed the door on him.
There can still be movement.
But for now, the Golden Knights are $1 of the optimal long-term injured reserved capture.
The NHL Media site lists the following players as forwards: Michael Amadio, Ivan Barbashev, William Carrier, Paul Cotter, Jakub Demek, Pavel Dorofeyev, Jack Eichel, Brett HOwden, William Karlsson, Keegan Kolesar, Jonathan Marchessault, Nicolas Roy, Chandler Stephenson and Mark Stone.
Of the 14 forwards listed on the site, only Demek is the surprise. He was signed earlier this week to an entry-level contract and can be shipped down to the American Hockey League and will not have to clear waivers. The Golden Knights would have room for an extra forward, provided they make stay under the salary cap. So expect some movement in terms of Demek’s initial listing on the roster.
The Golden Knights carry six defensemen on their roster. Nicolas Hague, Ben Hutton, Brayden McNabb, Brayden Pachal, Alex Pietrangelo and Shea Theodre will start the season as the defensemen unit.
Zach Whitecloud (upper body) and Alec Martinez (undisclosed) are both on injured reserve. Both are week to week, but Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said he expects Martinez to be back sooner than Whitecloud.
The odd man out was Kaedan Korczak, who is waivers ineligible, so it made sense to send him back to Henderson to get him steady playing time to improve for a chance next season.
No surprises here.
Adin Hill and Logan Thompson make up the goalie tandem.
