Vegas Golden Knights' No. 1 center, Jack Eichel, will miss tonight's game against the Calgary Flames with an injury.

“He’s going to miss a little bit of time,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “But I don’t know how much time. Obviously, not good news for us or Jack. But we’ll see how it plays out.”

Eichel left the last game against the Boston Bruins with an injury but was able to return. Eichel finished the game with 16:46 TOI.

It does need to be noted that Eichel said that he "feels good now" during the postgame scrum.

Eichel did not participate in the morning skate today. Losing Eichel is arguably the most significant loss for the Knights as he is their leading scorer, with 19 goals and 44 points.

Injuries continue to pile up for the reigning Stanley Cup Champions. The team announced this morning that newly acquired defenseman Tobias Bjornfot was placed on IR.

Adin Hill was supposed to start against Colorado but did not make the trip. Head coach Bruce Cassidy told reporters that Hill would not play unless he is 100% healthy.

There has been a bunch of line juggling, and this injury to Eichel only adds to the headache of roster moves that the Vegas front office has endured.
