Forward will miss the team's next preseason game with lingering issue
Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson is dealing with an undisclosed injury that will cause him to miss the team's next preseason game against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday.
He is listed as day-to-day and the issue does not seem to be a major concern.
"I don't think it'll be long term from what I'm told," Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. "But it's something that's been bothering since camp. We wanted to give him a couple of days off the ice to settle down and do whatever can to make sure he's ready for next week."
Brett Howden will fill in at the third-line center, moving down from his left wing spot on the second line to fill Karlsson's absence.
"We know 'Howie' can do that," Cassidy said. "He's played it a lot."
