Sacha Boisvert is a big scoring centreman who could be the player the Vegas Golden Knights target with their 19th overall pick.

Born on Mar. 17, 2006, Boisvert is a 6'2, 179 lbs, left-handed centreman. He spent his two previous seasons playing with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL. Last season he played in 61 games scoring 36 goals and 68 points, finishing 11th in points and fifth in goals for the entire USHL.

Boisvert was born in Trois-Rivières, Quebec but elected to go the NCAA route instead of playing in the QMJHL. He'll join the University of North Dakota next season to begin his College career.

The Canadian forward is a highly intelligent player who works hard every shift. His big frame adds power to his accurate shot. He made a lot of improvements to his game this season which created more offense for him and his teammates. His high IQ allows him to be a playmaker for his teammates but also to open up opportunities for him to show off his shot.

Another strength that scouts and GMs love about Boisvert's game is that he uses his height to his advantage. He understands that his long reach is a tool and uses it to make nifty passes and protect the puck in the offensive zone.

Currently, the two flaws in Boisvert's game are his skating and his defensive capabilities but many believe that there is room for improvement. With the correct player development staff, Boisvert can eliminate these weaknesses.

Throughout the 2023-24 season, he became more involved physically, showing his commitment to improving his all-around game. His Lumberjacks' teammates rave about his leadership and commitment to win.

The Chicago Blackhawks recently made a trade to land the 18th overall pick and reports have stated that the Blackhawks have "a great deal of interest in Boisvert". If this is true, the Golden Knights could have been targeting him and may need to shift their attention to someone else.

Boisvert has all the tools to be an effective NHL centreman and could be a potential steal for many teams selecting in the mid-to-late first round.
