The Vegas Golden Knights wrapped up their 2024 Development Camp yesterday with a scrimmage.

Team Red and Team White matched up on the final day, in which Team Red secured a 5-4 victory. Mathieu Cataford scored a goal in his second development camp with the Golden Knights.

During his media availability, he spoke about the valuable experience he picked up playing with the Henderson Silver Knights after his QMJHL MVP season.

"It was a great experience," said Cataford. "I wasn't really expecting it, at first I didn't even know I could play in Henderson before I was 20. I was excited. I think I had some good games and it was nice to see I could already play at that level at 18. Next year I'm going back to Junior but the year after is going to be exciting and I know what to expect."

2024 draft picks Trent Swick and Lucas Van Vliet spoke with the media as well and explained their feelings about the camp.

"It was my first Development Camp so I didn't really know what to expect. Everything blew me away," said Swick.

"I'll really enjoy these moments. This was something I'll never forget. Overall, I thought it was a really fun week," said Van Vliet.

Jack Stockfish, an NCAA sophomore at Holy Cross, was invited to the camp by the Golden Knights and was one of the stand-out players according to many of those in attendance. The 21-year-old had a great freshman season and his 6'4 frame could be a very intriguing free agent once his college career finishes.

Trevor Connelly didn't participate in the second scrimmage on Saturday after picking up a bit of an injury earlier in the camp.

What's always a fun week for all the players involved, they'll take the lessons they learned back to their junior teams, colleges or overseas and try to build off of it.
