Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel was one of the six players named to Team USA’s 4 Nations Face-Off team.

The other five Americans named to the roster were Auston Matthews, Quinn Hughes, Charlie McAvoy, Matthew Tkachuk and Adam Fox.

The 4 Nations Face-Off is set to begin on Feb. 12-20 in 2025. The four nations that will be participating are Canada, Sweden, Finland and the USA.

Eichel has represented the USA in international tournaments eight times in four different events. He’s won Gold and Silver at the U-18s and Bronze at the World Championship. The 27-year-old also played with the USNTDP.

Eichel will play a critical role in this American team. He’ll likely be the second-line centre playing behind Auston Matthews and in front of Jack Hughes. There won’t be any easy matchups in this tournament with all three other nations having elite centre depth.

Canada will have Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon up the middle who are the most recent Conn Smythe and Hart Trophy winners. Finland will run Aleksander Barkov and Sebastian Aho on their top two lines and Sweden will have Eilias Pettersson and Mike Zibanejad.

Eichel is more than deserving of this honour. After leading his team to a Stanley Cup in 2023, he followed it up with 31 and 68 points in 63 games. If injuries hadn’t hindered his season, he could have set new career highs.

Team USA is assembling possibly the best roster they have ever had and Eichel will have a major impact on the team's success in this tournament.
