Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel set a franchise record for the most points in a season with an assist against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Eichel is enjoying a career year, scoring 20 goals and 79 points in 64 games. His 79 points put him ahead of William Karlsson, the previous owner of the franchise record, who set his in the 2017-18 season.
Eichel has been among the best players in the NHL this season, ranking eighth among all skaters in points. If he can continue to score at his current pace, Eichel will reach the 100-point mark for the first time in his career.
Throughout his career, Eichel has been unfortunate with injuries and is part of the reason why he's never reached milestones like scoring 40 goals or reaching 100 points. His health has been intact this season, and he's taken full advantage of it.
Prior to the start of the season, the 28-year-old had increased pressure placed on him to up his production, and he responded exactly how the organization would have wanted him to. His defensive game hasn't wavered and he's carried the offensive load when depth scoring has dried up.
The Golden Knights are in a great position heading into the final stretch before the playoffs, and Eichel deserves plenty of credit.
