The Vegas Golden Knights have released the numbers that new additions Victor Olofsson, Alexander Holtz and Ilya Samsonov will wear.
A teammate of Jack Eichel in Buffalo, Olofsson will be moving on from the 68 that he wore during his time with the Sabres to 95 now with the Golden Knights. The 29-year-old left-handed winger is looking to have a bounce-back season with the Golden Knights. A three-time 20-goal scorer could have a break-out year if he plays alongside Eichel.
Holtz wore 10 throughout his time with the New Jersey Devils and 88 during his time in the SHL but now joining the Golden Knights he's elected to wear 26. The former seventh-overall pick was struggling to move up the Devils' lineup but is hoping that a fresh start with the Golden Knights on a team that is in need of scoring can revive his career.
Samsonov will be sticking with his trusted 35 that he's worn throughout his entire NHL career with the Washington Capitals and the Toronto Maple Leafs. After a solid first season with the Maple Leafs, Samsonov struggled to find that form again in his second campaign. Splitting starts with a veteran, Stanley Cup-winning goaltender in Adin Hill should help the 27-year-old find consistency.
