The Capitals will face the Blue Jackets on Monday at 7 p.m. ET.

ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals are taking things on the road for the next week, as they'll head to Columbus to do some teambuilding while putting their final roster together. They'll kick off that trip with another preseason meeting with the Blue Jackets on Monday.

Rasmus Sandin will make his long-awaited preseason debut after missing the start of training camp due to travel and visa issues. Meanwhile, Jakub Vrana and Ivan Miroshnichenko are getting another game as they look to try and crack the opening night roster down this final stretch.

Pierre-Luc Dubois and Hendrix Lapierre will also be back in the lineup, while Logan Thompson will play in the full game.

The Alex Ovechkin-Dylan Strome-Andrew Mangiapane trio will take a seat, as will the Jakob Chychrun-John Carlson pairing. Dylan McIlrath, a dark horse to watch for a spot on the blue line, will draw back into the lineup, too. Roster hopeful Andrew Cristall will be a scratch up front, while Ethan Bear will take a seat on the blue line.

    Here are the projected lines:

    Connor McMichael-Pierre-Luc Dubois-Tom Wilson

    Sonny Milano-Hendrix Lapierre-Aliaksei Protas

    Brandon Duhaime-Nic Dowd-Taylor Raddysh

    Jakub Vrana-Mike Sgarbossa-Ivan Miroshnichenko

    Martin Fehervary-Matt Roy

    Rasmus Sandin-Trevor van Riemsdyk

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. in Columbus on Monday.
