The Capitals will see 4 new faces in the mix as they take on the Devils.

ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals will see their captain and some more veterans get back into game action on Wednesday, as Alex Ovechkin is among the players who will make their preseason debuts against the New Jersey Devils.
In addition to Ovechkin, four Capitals will make their debuts with the team, as Jakob Chychrun, Andrew Mangiapane, Logan Thompson and Brandon Duhaime will all play their first games in D.C.
Wednesday's showdown will offer a first look at two of the team's key line combinations going into the season, as Ovechkin will play on the top trio with Dylan Strome and Mangiapane while the fourth line of Brandon Duhaime, Nic Dowd and Taylor Raddysh will be together, too.
Jakub Vrana will also draw back into the lineup and get some time on the power play.
On defense, Chychrun will be paired with John Carlson on the backend, providing a first look on that pairing. Thompson will get time in net, though expect him to get the whole game with Mitchell Gibson backing up.
