The Lyon, France native had a stellar QMJHL career, and a strong year in Laval earned him a deal with the Capitals.

The Washington Capitals have reportedly added a depth forward to the mix, signing Pierreck Dubé to an entry-level contract.
Per the Laval Rocket's play-by-play announcer Anthony Marcotte, Dubé is heading to the Capitals on a two-year deal.
Dubé is a right winger who most recently played in the AHL with the Montreal Canadiens' AHL-affiliate Rocket. Through 44 games this season, he had 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points and also had nine goals in nine games for their ECHL affiliate Trois-Rivieres Lions.
The 22-year-old had an impressive QMJHL career with the Quebec Remparts, Chicoutimi Sagueneens and Shawinigan Cataractes and helped lead them to the President Cup in 2022.

Ultimately, the 5-foot-9, 173-pound wing went undrafted. Dubé earned an invite to the Canadiens' training camp last year, and though he was cut, he went to Laval's camp and won a roster spot.
The Lyon, France native is mostly known for his lethal shot, as well as his quick hands and ability to create time and space. He has good puck control and a high hockey QA, and he's able to play with speed and keep his feet moving to open up passing and shooting lanes and pounce on secondary opportunities.
It would be a nice pickup to add depth to the team's systems, especially with Spencer Carbery taking over and eager to help youth develop within the organization. Plus, the Hershey Bears could benefit from another depth forward with Henrik Borgstrom and Shane Gersich heading to Sweden next season and Garrett Pilon signing with the Ottawa Senators.
The 22-year-old with tremendous upside adds to a solid day for Washington to open 2023 NHL Free Agency. The Capitals signed Max Pacioretty and acquired Joel Edmundson, and also re-signed Hunter Shepard to a two-year extension.
