Hear from the Capitals following their 4-2 win over the Sabres.

Tom Wilson speaks after the Capitals’ 4-2 win over the Sabres.

WASHINGTON — There's just something about this year's Washington Capitals, where even if they're down, they're never out.

And even after surrendering the first goal to the struggling Buffalo Sabres, and going for a bit without much offense, they knew they just knew they'd find a way to win — and that they did.

Tom Wilson struck twice, and Dylan Strome scored the game-winner in the third en route to a 4-2 victory over Buffalo, putting D.C. back on top of the Eastern Conference.

“Difficult game, but I think these two points are going to go a long way," Logan Thompson, who stopped 19 of 21 shots in the win, said.

Wilson and Strome also spoke on the team's buy-in mentality and how every member of the roster is chipping in, which has contributed greatly to Washington's success.

Here's what they, along with Thompson, said postgame.
