The Winnipeg Jets face their second elimination game of the playoffs tonight, and coach Scott Arniel is sticking with the lines he believes will get the job done.

Despite the Dallas Stars stymying the Jets' offence and generating far fewer chances than the Stars, Arniel believes the lines he's used through the first four games can help them pick up the win on home ice.

Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi were electric together throughout the regular season, but the same can't be said during their second-round series. Scheifele has recorded just a goal and an assist, Connor the same, and Vilardi has a goal and three points.

Cole Perfetti finished the series against the St. Louis Blues strongly but has not recorded a point against the Stars. His linemate, Nikolaj Ehlers, has excelled, registering three goals and four points.

Connor Hellebuyck has performed better on home ice than on the road, but the Stars have shown that they can get results anywhere. Mikko Rantanen has led the way, but dominant performances from Wyatt Johnston, Mikael Granlund and Roope Hintz have won the Stars games throughout the first two rounds.

The Jets have to be perfect from here on out, but taking it game by game is the approach that has proved to be effective for teams in a similar situation as the Jets. The group of players are a tight-knit bunch, but if they fall short, major changes are expected in the offseason.
