Jets face red-hot Ducks, battling for playoff positioning. Can Winnipeg's top line overcome Anaheim's surging youth?

The Winnipeg Jets kicked off the final stretch of their season with a 3-2 overtime road win against the Vancouver Canucks following the Olympic break and now face the red-hot Anaheim Ducks, looking to build momentum.

This will be the second matchup of the season, with Anaheim winning their first meeting 4-1 in November. Both teams are fighting for playoff positioning, with the Jets seeking to climb back into contention and the Ducks aiming to solidify their third-place spot in the Pacific Division.

Winnipeg has been strong recently, but much of the scoring has come from the top line, led by Kyle Connor, Gabriel Vilardi, and Cole Perfetti, leaving the middle-six forwards struggling to contribute consistently.

Anaheim, meanwhile, has thrived with contributions from its young core, including Beckett Sennecke, Cutter Gauthier, and Jackson LaCombe, who have all been instrumental in the Ducks’ 10-2-0 run over their last 12 games. With playoff implications on the line, Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck will need to be sharp to counter Anaheim’s high-powered, youthful lineup.

Winnipeg Jets Expected Line Combinations for Friday, February 27th vs. Anaheim:

Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi

Perfetti-Lowry-Iafallo

Nyquist-Toews-Namestnikov

Koepke-Barron-Pearson

Stanley-DeMelo

Samberg-Salomonsson

Heinola-Schenn

Hellebuyck
