Avoiding a third period collapse, Winnipeg's top goal scorer Kyle Connor broke a 2-2 tie late in the third period, helping the Jets to one-goal victory and a 3-2-1 record through the pre-season.

But two redirection goals from Calgary's two top forwards tied things up through just 4:27 of the third period. Jonathan Huberdeau got things going 1:04 in, before Mikael Backlund tied the game three-and-a-half minutes after that.
Connor potted the winner with 3:09 to play, handing the Jets their third win of the pre-season in their final test of the exhibition season.
Connor Hellebuyck made 32 saves on the 34 pucks he faced - much better numbers than his early pre-season games suggested.
