According to HC Scott Arniel, Winnipeg Jets forward Rasmus Kupari suffered a setback to his previous concussion and will be out day-to-day.
Kupari was placed in concussion protocol on Mar. 6 after being on the receiving end of a hit against the New York Islanders. The initial timeline was seven days, and he returned to game action on Mar. 25 against the Washington Capitals.
The 25-year-old recorded one shot on goal in just 5:44 of ice time and has missed two consecutive practices since the game. Arniel stated that Kupari was taking a maintenance day following Thursday's practice but gave additional information to his health following their morning skate ahead of tonight's encounter with the New Jersey Devils.
David Gustafsson will draw back into the lineup to replace Kupari. The 24-year-old has played 29 games this season, scoring one goal and five points. He last played on Mar. 6 against the Philadelphia Flyers, where he recorded one shot on goal in 10:38 of ice time.
In addition to Kupari's absence at yesterday's practice, Josh Morrissey, Kyle Connor and Luke Schenn were all present today after missing the skate yesterday. They all returned to their usual spots in the lineup and will all be available for tonight's game as planned.
