Winnipeg Jets coach Scott Arniel told the Winnipeg media that Mark Scheifele won't travel with the team to St. Louis for Game 6.

The 32-year-old was the recipient of two thunderous hits from Brayden Schenn and Radek Faksa, drawing controversy from the Schenn hit. The injury Scheifele sustained caused Arniel and St. Louis Blues HC Jim Montgomery to share their opinions during their post-game press conferences

Currently, Scheifele's injury is undisclosed, and the extent of the injury is unknown. Arniel was asked if Scheifele was in concussion protocol, but he quickly responded by saying, "I'm not going down that road."

Without Scheifele for Game 6, the Jets will be required to make multiple changes to their lineup. Currently, Arniel does not know if he'll add David Gustafsson or Rasmus Kupari into the lineup to play as the fourth-line centre.

Adam Lowry, Vladislav Namestnikov and Morgan Barron will all be receiving promotions, which comes with added pressure to perform.
