Line Combinations: Jets at Lightning
Oct 29, 2026 8:18 PM

Struggling stars Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele search for a spark as Winnipeg attempts to snap a six-game skid against Andrei Vasilevskiy and the high-flying Lightning.

On Thursday, the Winnipeg Jets will aim to put an end to their frustrating six-game losing streak when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Tampa Bay, a perennial Stanley Cup contender, has gotten off to a strong start with seven wins in its first nine games, although the Bolts enter this matchup riding a two-game losing streak of their own.

With both teams eager to get back on track, Winnipeg will look to build on a favorable history against Tampa Bay, having won six of its last eight meetings with the Lightning. The Jets also came away victorious in their most recent clash last March, earning a convincing 4-1 win despite struggling through a disappointing season.

Thursday's matchup presents a significant opportunity for Winnipeg's struggling offense, though the challenge will be considerable against elite goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Several of the Jets' biggest offensive contributors have gone quiet recently, with Kyle Connor recording just one point over his last five games, Mark Scheifele enduring a four-game pointless streak, and Cole Perfetti managing only one point across his last six outings. Gabriel Vilardi has been the lone bright spot among the forwards, collecting three points in his last four games.

If Winnipeg hopes to end its losing skid, it will need its top offensive weapons to rediscover their scoring touch and deliver a much-needed breakthrough against Tampa Bay.

Winnipeg Jets' expected line combinations for Thursday, October 29th at Tampa Bay:

Connor-Scheifele-Perfetti

Rosén-Lowry-Vilardi

Iafallo-Björck-Mercer

Koepke-Barron-Lambert

Samberg-Pionk

Ferraro-Salomonsson

Fleury-DeMelo

Skinner

Healthy Scratches: Bauer

Injured: Morrissey, Namestnikov, Bjugstad
