Moose defenceman Elias Salomonsson will be going to the AHL All-Star Game.

The American Hockey League has announced its roster for its annual all-star game.

This past week, players were selected who will be representing their clubs at the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic at Acrisure Arena in Coachella Valley on Sunday, February 2.

Of the players chosen was Manitoba Moose defenceman Elias Salomonsson. The 20-year-old Swede leads all Moose defencemen and rookies in goals, assists and points on the season, while outproducing all players in points-per-game (0.71).

Selected in the second round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Salomonsson also has two power play goals and five power play assists on the season.

He is just the second rookie defenceman, and seventh rookie overall in team history to participate in the all-star weekend.

Solomonsson has three goals and 12 points in 17 games for Manitoba this season, while helping the team to its current four-game winning streak.
