Winnipeg Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers and defenseman Neal Pionk will be game-time decisions tomorrow against the Dallas Stars.
Ehlers has been considered a game-time decision for the previous two games and hasn't played in either. The 29-year-old suffered a foot/leg injury after blocking a shot, and then being hit by Cole Perfetti's shot against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Ehlers did not practice today with the team, but HC Scott Arniel told the media that he will probably skate tomorrow. Without Ehlers in the lineup, the Jets have posted a 1-1-0 record, defeating the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday but losing to Utah HC beforehand.
Pionk took line rushes for the first time since he was announced out on a week-to-week basis. The 29-year-old has been out since Mar. 11 after playing just 16:18 of ice time against the New York Rangers.
In 66 games, Pionk has scored nine goals and 37 points, while adding four goals and 11 points on the power play. During the morning line rushes, Pionk was paired with his usual partner Dylan Samberg and took his spot on the second power play unit.
Luke Schenn was absent from practice, but Arniel mentioned that he was using the two days off to visit his family. If Pionk is unable to play tomorrow, Schenn will slide back alongside Samberg, and if he's able to play, he'll shift back to the third pairing.
A win tomorrow against the Stars all but clinches their spot atop the Central Division.
