Niederreiter nears 500 career points, adding another significant achievement to a celebrated NHL journey with the Jets.

The Winnipeg Jets honored Nino Niederreiter earlier this season when the veteran forward reached the 1,000-game mark in his NHL career. Another milestone is now within reach for the 33-year-old Swiss winger.

Niederreiter’s goal in Tuesday’s win over the New Jersey Devils moved him to 499 career points, leaving him just one point shy of 500 in his career. The former fifth overall pick now sits at 248 goals and 251 assists in 1,020 games.

This season, Niederreiter has recorded eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points in 51 games. His production aligns with his established role as a reliable middle-six contributor, typically finishing in the 30 to 40 point range. He remains on pace to reach the 30-point mark once again.

Niederreiter has been a steady presence alongside Jets captain Adam Lowry, a duo that previously found its greatest success when paired with Mason Appleton. While that line has not been fully reassembled since Appleton’s departure in free agency, Niederreiter has continued to provide timely scoring and consistent play as Winnipeg’s third line works to establish newfound chemistry.

The Jets are still on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs but with Niederreiter's help at points, they are within eight points of a playoff spot as of Wednesday.
