Winnipeg's dynamic winger is electrifying the ice once again. Historical data suggests his explosive October production paves a clear path toward a career-defining 90-point milestone this season.

On Wednesday, Kyle Connor is picked up right where he left off, scoring twice, including the game-winner with just a minute remaining to help the Winnipeg Jets sneak out with 3-2 victory.

The two-goal performance was Connor's third multi-goal game in just four games this season, and it has the 29-year-old Michigan native on pace for one of the best starts of his career.

That said, fast starts are nothing new for him as last October, Connor recorded six goals and nine assists for 15 points in 11 games and the October before that, in 2024, he was even more productive, putting up nine goals and eight assists for 17 points in just ten games. Back in October 2021, he was fantastic in the opening month once again with seven goals and seven assists for 14 points in eight games.

The pattern has been telling as in 2022 and 2023, Connor finished the opening month of the season both years with a below a point-per-game average, and ended both of those seasons short of the 90-point mark. In the three seasons where he started hot (2021, 2024 and 2025), he went on to reach 90 or more points every time.

Four games in, the trend points toward another 90-plus point campaign for Connor, provided he can keep it going. However, it won't be easy as the Jets face one of the league's toughest opening schedules, with matchups against several playoff teams, including the Anaheim Ducks, Minnesota Wild, Carolina Hurricanes, Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Tough competition hasn't slowed Connor yet as Wednesday's heroics came against an Avalanche team that finished last season with the league's best backend. With Connor continuing to produce at an elite level, the Jets figure to be a lively team to watch every night, regardless of the opponent.
