Canada Or USA, Who Has The Better Coaching Staff At The 4 Nations Face-Off?

The 2025 4 Nations Face-Off kicks off Wednesday, Feb. 12, where Canada and Sweden will kick off the inaugural event at the Bell Centre.

Team Canada is the betting favorite to win the tournament with the Americans right behind them.

This is the first time we will see a best-on-best international tournament, with the best players in the world facing off for bragging rights. Fourteen OHL alumni players will participate in the event.

Canadian Mitch Marner (93) and American Matthew Tkachuk (7) celebrate a goal as members of the London Knights. Canadian Mitch Marner (93) and American Matthew Tkachuk (7) celebrate a goal as members of the London Knights.

To no surprise, Canada leads the way with seven OHL alumni in their lineup, highlighted by the Erie Otter great, Connor McDavid, and the London Knight magician, Mitch Marner.

Team USA is primarily dominated by players who developed through their national team development program, but three members from their roster played in the OHL at some point in their young careers.

Lastly, the Scandinavian countries Sweden and Finland have two players each, one of which was a rockstar in his only season for the Sudbury Wolves.

Below is a list of the OHL alumni playing at the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off, along with their career statistics and greatest achievements while playing in the OHL.
