The 17-year-old defenceman is thought of highly in Brantford, and will be part of their plans for the future.

The Brantford Bulldogs have acquired defensive prospect Kaden Rolling from the Windsor Spitfires, the teams announced on Monday.

Heading back the other way are two picks, both in 2028. A fourth-rounder (ER), and a seventh-rounder (BFD).

Rolling, 17, was a sixth-round pick in the 2025 OHL draft, still looking to make his league debut. After growing up in the Barrie Colts youth programs, he's played parts of the last three seasons with the Collingwood Blues of the OJHL, making the full-time jump to the team this year.

The Bulldogs clearly see some potential in the 6-foot, 198-pound defender, particularly given the acquisition cost relative to what his draft position was.

“We loved Kaden throughout the draft process, and we’re thrilled to add him to the Bulldogs," Brantford GM and president Spencer Hyman said in a press release.

“He’s a fearless competitor who blocks shots as well as anyone and does whatever it takes to help his team win. He played through injuries at the OHL Cup, which tells you a lot about his toughness and commitment to his teammates. Above all, Kaden is a young man of the highest character. His compete, courage and team-first mentality are exactly what we want in a Bulldog," Hyman continued.

The release also states Rolling will remain with Collingwood, being available as an AP player for the remainder of the season. The plan is for the Barrie native to join the Bulldogs full-time for the 2027-28 campaign.
