Blackhawks 2026 second rounder Ryan Roobroeck Named Player of the Month after dominant October

Guelph Storm forward Ryan Roobroeck has been named as the Ontario Hockey League's Player of the Month for October.

Roobroeck, a prospect of the Chicago Blackhawks, had a dominant October with 14 goals and 22 points in 13 games for Guelph this past month.

Drafted 35th overall by the Blackhawks in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, Roobroeck has been dominating for the Storm after struggling with consistency last season with the Niagara IceDogs that dropped him from a potential first-rounder down to early in round two.

The Memorial Cup host Guelph Storm have a league leading 24 points with a 12-3-0 record on the season. Roobroeck is tied with Evgeny Dubrovtsev for the OHL scoring lead with 14.
