The 18-year-old brings some size and depth to the Otters' centre core.

The Erie Otters have added American forward Jack Torr from the Brantford Bulldogs in a trade, the teams announced Friday.

The return in the deal is a pair of draft picks, a second-rounder in 2028 (NB) and a fourth-rounder in 2030 (ER).

Torr, 18, joined Brantford this summer out of the USHL. He's scored seven (4+3) points in 11 OHL games in his rookie year, but as of late has found himself on the fourth line or at the bottom of the lineup.

This trade is another of many moves for the Bulldogs this year, who have been retooling their roster on the fly. Where players such as Sam Roberts and Carson Andrew have entered, others such as Jean-Samuel Daigneault, Camron Hankai, Joey Banas and more have been sent out the door.

Torr is next in line to be squeezed out due to the depth of this roster, that still sits atop the Eastern conference despite all of this movement.

For Erie, they pick up a player who they believe can add some unique power forward properties to their lineup.

“Jack is a powerful forward who commands the game with precise attention to detail in his play,” Otters GM Dave Brown said in a press release. “Adding Jack excites us, and we look forward to what’s ahead.”

The 6-foot-2 centre out of Philadelphia is committed to join the NCAA's University of Connecticut for the 2028-29 campaign.
