The Guelph Storm captain from this past season, Braeden Bowman, has found a new home and it’s with the Henderson Silver Knights in the AHL.

Bowman, 21, just wrapped up his OHL career, putting together 37 goals and 71 points in 68 games for the Storm. He, alongside Flyers first-rounder Jett Luchanko, was the offensive catalyst for Guelph in 2023-24.

Braeden attended the Vegas Golden Knights’ development camp recently where the organization got an up-close look at him. They obviously liked what they saw and made the decision to sign him to an AHL contract.

The Kitchener, Ontario native scored 97 goals and 180 points in 184 career OHL games. He was a fifth-rounder, 96th overall pick by Guelph in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection out of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers U16 AAA team.

Bowman during his time in the OHL was most known for his powerful and snappy release. He possesses a lethal one-timer and is incredibly accurate at sniping the corners while in stride with the puck.

He’s also a big-body winger who can play with an edge on occasion but will need to improve his pace and first two-to-three-step explosiveness to take that next step forward at the pro level.
