The Quebec Remparts and the Charlottetown Islanders become the first QMJHL teams to fall out of the 2025 playoffs -- both swept by competition.

The Remparts were able to work the No. 1 ranked team, the Moncton Wildcats, but never were able to come out on top. Despite the sweep, the Remparts have proven that they have a decent core to build off of for next season.

As for the Islanders, their series against the Memorial Cup host Rimouski Océanic was more eventful -- but not in the way the team would hope. The team averaged six goals against per game in their series as they just could not handle the high octane pace of Rimouski.
